Cold War Breaks Out In Parliament As Duale And Junet Take On Each Other

Aden Duale today appeared before the Appointments Committee at the National Assembly where Moses Wetangula led through the vetting process. Duale was nominated for the defense cabinet secretary position and he hopes to be successfully appointed.

Suna East MP Junet Mohammed was among the team that interviewed the Cabinet nominees selected by the president. During the vetting Duale turned on Junet and said that he has committed a lot of crimes and if he is allowed to state them it would take him a whole day. This is because the MP whiled a lot of power in the previous government.

"Hon. Junet was very powerful in the last 3 years. If I am asked to say the many unconstitutional things he has done with his partners, that will be for another day." Duale said.

This made Junet laugh as he responded back to Duale. He told him that today was not his day to be vetted but Duale's. He told him to keep all those things for the day he will also be vetted.

"My day will come for vetting. Today we are vetting you." Junet said.

This left the people present at National Assembly laughing. Junet and Duale come from the same community but have different political opinions. They have worked against each other for sometime but they sometimes joke with each other. Follow the page for more news updates daily.
