Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi fired a late night message after what was expected in the just concluded by-elections.
Despite the western region kingpin stamping authority in his region after his party won the Matungu seat, and his counterpart Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetang'ula carrying the day in Kabuchai, a lot of electoral malpractices were conducted resulting to chaos and arrest of several people.
However, Through his Twitter social media, the former vice president has strongly condemned the actions, arguing that we must learn to practice political tolerance.
"I strongly condemn the electoral malpractices witnessed in the concluded by-elections around the country. We must learn to appreciate & practice politics of tolerance & respect towards each other. Kenya is far greater than any individual. We need to do better. We can do better," Mudavadi wrote on his Twitter social media handle.
However, Mudavadi's messa was no well received by kenyans on Twitter, who went ahead to slam him on the case that his MP, Senator Cleophas Malala was among those caught in a broad daylight practicing what he is condemning. Here are some few reactions;
Fredrick Were; Come out clearly and condemn Cleophas Malala.We all saw what he did on behalf of your party.
Alex Mayore; Take displine measures on ANC MPs and Agents who participated in that violence in Matungu or we shall assume it's PR talk use the party discipline structure otherwise Congratulations for the Matungu win. Stronger battle 2022 coming.
@cotendoh; Mhesh have you reviewed that video where Senator Malala attacked a DCIO while literally crying, "Mnaniibia pesa..."
