Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition Presidential candidate Rt. Hon. Raila Amollo Odinga has cautioned The Kenyan Electoral Body for what he termed as unfairness in the August elections. Hon. Raila maintained that he has intelligence that IEBC is busy taking sides with the Kenya Kwanza in a bid to deny him his victory.
Speaking in Githunguri, Kiambu County, the former Prime Minister said that the manual register in every poll stations is an irreducible minimum for his camp. Mr. Odinga has cited the interference by Wafula Chebukati something which he said will not lead to credible elections. According to Raila, the only way to stop the rigging is the presence of manual register in every poll stations.
“With a manual register, it will be easy to tell how many people have voted in every polling station. In the electronic register, there is no record that remains,” Mr. Odinga said.
In addition, Rt. Hon. Raila said that without the manual register, then there will be no election.
The Azimio leader also said that he has sufficient information that there would be excess pre-marked ballot papers which will be injected in the country through neighbouring countries.
