Honorable Raila Odinga, the former leader of Kenya and leader of the Azimio La Umoja Coalition party, expressed his displeasure yesterday with Ruto's decision to suspend four IEBC commissioners, informing his supporters to gather at the Jacaranda grounds on December 7 in anticipation of planned protests against Ruto's illegal action.
When Raila warned Kenyans of impending protests, different people responded. At one point, even his closest allies—the KANU party—withdrew from the gathering. The former Migori County governor, David Obado, has criticized Raila's proposed demonstrations, according to a Star News story published in Kenya on Facebook.
The outspoken MP claimed that the Luo community would not join Raila's mass action while speaking in Nyanza during a relief food distribution. The outspoken MP advises the former prime minister to focus on Kenya's development as opposed to holding protests that will ultimately be useless and polarize Kenyans.
