With less than 12 months remaining before next year's general elections, candidates from different regions have been drafting strategy plans ahead of the highly anticipated 2022 polls. The likes of Deputy President William Ruto and Odm leader Raila Odinga have been viewed as the leading candidates in the race which also includes Anc leader Musalia Mudavadi and Kalonzo Musyoka of Wiper.
Despite the presence of the many contestants, many political pundits have identified the Deputy President and the former Prime Minister as the leading horses in the race.
Earlier today the Deputy President visited the ganze area in Kilifi County where continued to sell his Hustler nation narrative to the residents. During his speech, Ruto could not hide his disappointment at some of the decisions by the residents of Kilifi County.
Ruto lectured the residents for electing Odm leader Raila Odinga as their preferred candidate In both 2013 and 2017. According to Ruto, the former Prime Minister has proven to be more of an enemy than a friend to residents of Kilifi since he supported the Controversial revenue formula that would have meant Kilifi would lose money to other counties.
According to Ruto, the Odm Leader was not there during this difficult period where residents are struggling to find something to eat. The Deputy President donated food to the constituents who had come.
