Since the emergence of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party all eyes are set on Ruto's associated party. From nominations to elections, the hustler nation is struggling to define the future of the party.
DP Ruto recently endorsed several aspirants for various positions in the next general elections without consultation from the party board or nominations.
Ruto's action of dictatorship has raised eyebrows for the followers of the party. Several politicians have made a u-turn to join his rival, Raila Odinga.
Today, October 1, DP Ruto held a delegation meeting in Karen residence meeting grassroots leaders to strengthen his support ahead of the 2022 general elections.
UDA's secretary-general, Veronica Maina was among the party officials who were present in the meeting.
While addressing the meeting, Veronica's emotional message to Ruto and all UDA aspirants rose eyebrows over the panic in the tangatanga camp.
Veronica assured the aspirants of free and fair nominations which will be done with total agreement from both parties (individual aspirants).
Fear might have rocked Ruto's camp following his public declaration of some aspirants. Some candidates could have started looking for alternative parties to quench their political ambitions.
