Today's elections closed at 5:00 pm and the counting of votes commenced. The Nation has started receiving some results even though not full results as counting is still going on.
According to the figures in their Presidential Elections 2022 results portal, Azimio la Umoja presidential candidate Raila Odinga is leading, followed by Kenya Kwanza presidential candidate William Ruto. Roots Party leader George Wajackoyah comes in position three while Agano Party leader David Waihiga comes in position four.
The nation has at 7:48 pm counted 15278 votes. Of all the votes, Raila led by 8124 votes, while Ruto had 7084 votes. George Wajackoyah had 46 votes while David Waihiga had 24 votes.
This is not the final result yet as the results are being transported from the polling centers to tallying centers where they will be summed up before being released.
The IEBC on the other hand is busy ensuring that all the votes cast are accurately counted and released. Thanks for reading as we keep on waiting for the final results.
