Narc Kenya party leader Hon. Martha Karua landed in his home county of Kirinyaga in style a day after she was named as Raila Odinga's running mate. The vocal woman who gladly accepted the challenge is set to popularize Raila Odinga in the Mt Kenya region as soon as possible.
On Tuesday, she returned to Kirinyaga county where she was received by jubilant supporters . This is according to the video that is circulating on social media platforms. The iron lady was received by cheers from the crowd which was eagerly waiting for her.
The high-rated woman leader is now expected to hit the road, especially in Kirinyaga county where she was born alongside other Azimio la Umoja political leaders in Mt Kenya to hunt for votes for Raila Odinga in the vote-rich mountain region.
Martha Karua was expected to run for Kirinyaga gubernatorial seat in the upcoming August general elections but she shelves her ambition after landing the top job of deputizing the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
All attention will focus on Karua to see if she will outsmart Kenya Kwanza's running mate Rigathi Gachagua in delivering the Mt Kenya votes to Azimio la Umoja coalition.
