Opinion Poll: 6 Mt Kenya Counties Where Ruto Would Get Lots of Votes as Karua Leads as Running Mate

According to a new opinion poll from Radio Africa conducted in Central Kenya region, the Deputy President William Samoei Ruto has gained huge support which has spread throughout the Mt Kenya Region. However, the support for the Deputy President William Ruto appears strongest in Embu County, Murang’a County, Nakuru County, Nyandarua County, Nyeri County as well as Laikipia County. According to the opinion poll William Ruto's support in these counties is as follows

Embu County - 69.6 percent

Murang'a County - 60.2 percent

Nakuru County - 59.8 percent

Nyandarua County - 59.0 percent

Nyeri County - 58.7 percent

Laikipia County - 57.1 percent

The above percentages shows that majority of people from these counties would vote for William Ruto according to the opinion poll. However the opinion poll indicates that the Deputy President William Ruto received the least support in Kirinyaga County where he obtained a 46.2 percent support. All those who supported the Deputy President William Ruto are between the age of 18 years and 34 years.

According to the poll, Raila Amolo Odinga received 13.3% support from people aged between 45 years and 55 years. The poll also indicates that 6.5% young people also support's Raila's presidency.

The opinion poll indicates that the Deputy President William Ruto is having the biggest support in the presidential race in the whole of Mt Kenya Region with 57 percent support as compared to the 11% support for the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.

Additionally, the opinion poll also shows that Mt Kenya prefer Martha Karua as the running mate.
