The senate has resumed today April 28, 2021 and members are ready to resume pertinent issues that need effective resolutions like the BBI Bill.
The entire senate has checked in and have started with the first order of the day, dealing with the BBI document and issues surrounding it.
BBI report has been submitted to every member but the senate have asked for a motion to adjourn the proceedings to find enough time to read the report so as to make a proper debate on various issues.
This resulted to Moses Wetangula calling for a point of order to support the motion to adjourn while adding the important fact to do with equity.
He says that, the members need enough time probably the entire morning to have sufficient time to understand the report that was recently submitted to the speakers of both houses by the committee incharge of the bill.
He says equity is key and the foundation of any constitution. That members need to have a lengthy reading and understanding and making equitable deliberations in these issues since equity play a major role in the foundation of any constitution.
Equity in terms of various issues so that an individual say in Molo can access the same justice or served equitably since all are Kenyans.
He urges the members to consider matters that affect all Kenyans and set out equitable deliberations for the benefits of all Kenyans.
