MP Ernest Kagesi was today, the 25th of February 2023 forced to make a public statement. This was during the Kakamega rally that was held by the Azimio coalition.
Being a member of Kenya Kwanza, his presence at the event may have caused quite a stir. After being given a chance to address the crowd, he was then forced to clear the air.
The moment might have been intense for him as there were so many leaders on the Azimio side. He clarified that the reason he was in the middle was a result of his close blood relations with Maungu.
This shows that many people did not expect him at the rally. It may have shocked many to see a member of Kenya Kwanza in their midst.
This was also a good move because it showed that he did not just consider his political ground and was willing to join the other leaders.
