The deputy president William Ruto today held a mega rally at Bumala market in Busia County. He is on a two day vote hunt in the most populous western region.
As usual, DP Ruto gives prizes to those who impress him in his rally or show extreme loyalty signs in his rallies. After buying a crate of eggs for KES 10,000 yesterday in Mumias Town in Kakamega county, Ruto has again surprised one of his staunch supporter in Busia County today.
A man who carried a wheelbarrow to his rally at Bumala market in Butula Constituency was seen trying to get closer to Ruto's car while raising it higher to try get his attention. The man finally got Ruto's attention as he promised to sort him out at the end of the rally.
After the rally ended, Ruto pulled out KES 10,000 from his pocket and gave it to the young man with the wheelbarrow. "Shika hii elfu kumi ujipange na hiyo wheelbarrow yako," Ruto said. Handclaps and louder cheers were heard from the crowd after he gifted the young man.
Additionally, Ruto donated a whooping KES 1000,000 to small scale business owners and mama mbogas who do business at Bumala market to aid them expand and continue doing business.
