Opinion: Hon. Oparanya could join Kenya Kwanza Alliance (KKA) government

Is politics all about self interest? Or is it for the interest of the public? The former Kakamega county governor Hon. Wycliffe Oparanya also the deputy party leader of Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) could be a reflector of this.

Governor Oparanya who has served for two terms in the office as the head of the county which is equivalent to ten years is currently facing an uphill task being that some of the notable leaders in the region are in the Kenya Kwanza Alliance (KKA) government and holding big positions in that government for example: Hon. Musalia Mudavadi the party leader of ANC party has been appointed as the chief minister in the Ruto's administration, Hon. Moses Wetangula is the current speaker of the National Assembly and Hon. Ababu Namwamba as the cabinet secretary of sports and many more.

The above mentioned leaders are hailing from the western region where the former governor of Kakamega county also hails from and they are likely to convince him irregardless of his strong support to the former presidential candidate Hon Raila Odinga of Azimio coalition.
