No Mass Action in Kakamega, Khalwale Tells Raila that They Will Not Allow Him to Hold Protests

Kakamega Senator has told Raila to target other regions with mass action but not Kakamega County. Khalwale says the people of Kakamega are peaceful people and Raila’s plans will flop in the region because of resistance.

Khalwale has told Raila that he is going to talk with other elected leaders in the region to tell people to resist Raila. He says that people need to oppose Raila’s move as it is only aimed to destabilize the country and disrupt business that are struggling at the moment.

Through a statement, Khalwale has observed Kakamega people are peace lovers and only want to see development. He has asked Raila to try and hold those rallies elsewhere other than Kakamega. Khalwale is one of the many leaders who have advised Raila to stop with the protests that are meant to resist the ouster of IEBC commissioners.

“I have heard that you have outlined some areas where you plan to hold protests and Kakamega is one of them. I would like to tell you that is not going to happen. I am going to ask other elected leaders to oppose your planned protests. As Kakamega we only want development for our people. Please hold the protests elsewhere,” Khalwale has said.
