The Director General of the DCI George Kinoti on Friday officially handed over his office to the next DG after he resigned from his post on Tuesday. Kenyans came out to send their farewell messages wishing him success in his life out of the government. Despite many people praising him for his hard work and successes in the DCI, there are some who feel like he failed as a leader.
Many of those that are allied to Kenya Kwanza have criticized the DCI boss and now want him arrested for allegedly misusing the office of the DG. Dr Miguna Miguna on Friday shared a tweet asking for the arrest of George Kinoti after his retirement. The lawyer accused the DG of several crimes like abuse of power, torture, abductions among many others. He said that the DG must answer to all the crimes.
"GOODBYE, George Kinoti. For 4 years, you turned the @DCI_Kenya into a CRIMINAL outfit with expertise in abductions, forced disappearances, torture, extrajudicial killings, abuse of power, and defiance of court orders. You must answer for all the crimes you have committed." he said.
Kinoti has led the Directorate of Criminal Investigations for 4 yeas and 8 months and during this time he made a lot of progress in the NPS making DCI one of the best detective agencies in Africa. Many people will miss him. Follow the page for more news updates daily.
