The future of Mt Kenya seems to hang in the balance as no leader has stepped up to assume the role of President Uhuru Kenyatta in the region when his term comes to an end.
A female politician from Mt Kenya region has however received much support following her remarks defending President Uhuru.
Lawyer Donald B Kipkorir said that Murang’a Woman Representative Sabina Chege is the future of Mt Kenya politics after her interview with one of the local TV stations.
Kipkorir said that Sabina is loyal to President Uhuru unlike other politicians from the region who allegedly ask for handouts in order to show support to Uhuru.
The lawyer said being loyal to the party leader is key for any politician who wants to survive in politics which Sabina has done.
“Sabina Chege is the future of Mount Kenya. Whilst Kikuyu Male Senators & MPs are in puerile excitement & daily delegitimizating the President bec of Kshs. 50,000/= weekly per diem, Sabina stands tall & firm. Loyalty to Party Leader is Gold Standard in Politics .. #SabinaTheLioness,” said Kipkorir.
Uhuru was recently forced to meet leaders from his Mt Kenya backyard following claims that he is losing his grip in the region to his deputy, William Ruto after a section of leaders from the region allied to Ruto publicly attacked him.
Sabina has received praise from Kenyans after she defended President Uhuru and his decisions and also boldly defended the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) Bill.
The Woman rep did not shy away from attacking those who are against President Uhuru as she also lashed out at Deputy President William Ruto and his allies following their decisions not to be loyal to Jubilee and Uhuru.
