According to images that were posted on Mama Rachel Ruto's Facebook page, she held a meeting today at state house, which was attended by principal secretaries who served in Uhuru's administration and who are currently awaiting the naming of new principal secretaries by the current President William Ruto.
In a post she made on Facebook, one of her social media platforms, She wrote, "The First Lady held an exploratory meeting with the Principal Secretary, Dr. Chris Kiptoo of the Ministry of Environment, and Dr. Janet Kabeberi, Senior Gender Advisor and Head of Gender and Social Safeguards at UNEP, to shape a complimentary agenda in support of the Government's priorities on Climate Action and green entrepreneurship." Since the first lady was sworn in as the first lady of the Republic of Kenya at kasarani in an event that brought thousands of Kenyans who ushered in a new dispensation, this is the first gathering of what sort to be hosted by the first lady since the event.
Rachel Ruto has made it clear that issues pertaining to the empowerment of women are very near and dear to her, and she has committed to see to it that women all across the country are empowered and that they have possibilities that might lead to a better standard of living for them.
