Raila in his response towards Whistleblower report said that he 100% won the Presidential election and for that case they (Azimio) will not recognise William Ruto's presidency. He added that they also do not recognize Kenya Kwanza government and the recent appointees by President Ruto. "We do not recognise the Kenya Kwanza administration as a legitimate government and Ruto as the president or any official in his government," Raila in his rally at Kamukunji grounds.
However, Raila's efforts to overturn Ruto's presidency has started meeting ups and downs already. A section of his elected governors have defied his statement of not recognizing Ruto's presidency and his administration. Siaya Governor James Orengo, Mombasa Governor Abdulswamad Nassir and Kakamega governor Fernandez Baraza all allied to Raila had already declared their support towards Ruto's administration. These are among Raila's elected governors that say they will continue to recognize William Ruto as the President and continue to support Ruto's administration.
