"I've Told My Supporters to Vote For Their Preferred President" Says Kiambu Gubernatorial Candidate

Safina Party candidate for Kiambu County gubernatorial bid Mwende Gatabaki, has affirmed that her governor's bid is not tied to any of the four presidential candidates; Raila Odinga, William Ruto, George Wajackoyah or David Waihiga.

Gatabaki who was speaking on Sunday during Kiambu gubernatorial debate, said that she had left a vacuum for the electorates to choose who they want as their president, even though she has guided them.

In her sentiments, Gatabaki revealed that she requested the electorates to settle on a leader who has their interests at heart, who has stated how he will be creating more jobs for the youth and also reviving the economy.

"I am not aligned to any of the presidential candidates because the issues are of Kiambu, I have not aligned my manifesto to any of the candidates."

"As I campaign, I tell my people to look for the candidate who is talking about putting food on the table, jobs for the youths and other issues they are experiencing on the ground," said Gatabaki.

She went on to dismiss 'six-piece voting pattern' calls, saying that parties do not deliver, and thus electorates should focus on a certain leader and what they are advocating for as their agenda should they win the polls.
