Tharaka Nithi Governor Muthomi Njuki has once again set the record straight claiming that he is not opposed to the BBI process but rather opposed to some clauses of the proposed document. A few days ago the internet erupted after it was claimed that the governor was opposed to the document.
According to the reports that was circulating yesterday, the governor is alleged to have said that the document was not selable in Meru because of its close association with Raila Odinga. He says this information is further from the truth and this was propagated by his opponents.
Over forty one leaders drawn from Mount Kenya this past week wrote a letter to Uhuru Kenyatta voicing their concerns over the BBI which according to them is unsalable to the region because of its close association to ODM leader Raila Odinga.
Raila on the other hand dismissed them claiming that the document is not intended to benefit him but Kenyans and Kenya as a nation. Below is a video link of Muthomi Njuki talking about the BBI:
