- This is in his attempt to attract more votes from young generation ahead of the 2022 polls.
As the 2022 presidential race draws closer, the Orange Democratic Movement boss Raila Amolo Odanga is leaving nothing to chance.
The Kenyan Political enigma is keen to attract the younger generation votes.
Taking to his Twitter handle, the seasoned politician says he wil address some policy interventions for Kenyan Youth. Creating opportunities, particularly jobs, for young people, which he insights, is the biggest challenge this country has to deal with going into the future. "All our policies must reflect this reality."
Odinga added his dream saying to maintain a data bank on skilled youth, source support, including extending specific incentives to SMEs ran by craftsmen and artisans and ensure that their passions become professions, industries and jobs.
He further stated that when the youth make up 75 per cent of our population, it beats logic to have an institution that is meant to help them placed at National Treasury, under a small toothless secretariat. This, according to Raila, will be made possible by Parliament changing the AGPO Act.
