2022 being an election year, there are a number of celebrities who have already announced or gone public of their intentions to run for elective posts. I will be highlighting a few of them.
Comedian Jalango is one of the comedians who have announced their intentions to die. He said in an earlier interview with Maisha radio. Jalango will be going for the Langata constituency where Nixon Korir is the incumbent. He will be up against Silas Jakakimba if he goes ahead with his plan.
Akothee is a well known celebrity who has not shyed way from the fact that she wants to vie for the Migori County senatorial seat that will remain vacant after incumbent Ochillo Ayacko leaves office.She had however said that she had an option of going for Nairobi if she so wished.
Jacque Maribe formerly of Citizen television also in an earlier interview hinted that shew would like to vie for a political seat in Muranga County and she particularly stated the Kiharu parliamentary seat or the Muranga women representative position.
Xtian Dela is the newest entry into the 2022 political scene after he announced on his Instagram page that he would like to run for the Westlands parliamentary seat. We wait to see what comes out at the end in 2022 however.
