As the country prepares for the 2022 elections, Raila has confirmed that he is doing something with President Uhuru so that we don't experience post election violence. Raila assured that the 2022 elections will be free and fair. He said that this will only be achieved through his commitment with President Uhuru on what they are doing to save the country.
"I can assure you that the election for president will be free and fair as Uhuru and are committed to liberating this country to where our forefathers wanted it to be," Raila quoted.
Speaking during a meeting with a section of My. Kenya leaders at, Raila made a promise that there will be no political violence at all. During tbe meeting, Raila addresed the issue of women and young people vying for the posts to bring gender and social fairness.
Raila asked the young people not to repeat what happened in 2007 where many people lost lives, friends, family and property.
