Currently in Kenya, political mood has covered every place of the country. The political class are trying to get fit in political wings that might see them benefit come 2022. Currently the 2022 race seems to be taking shape with the deputy president william Ruto seemingly being the top contester. His candidacy is likely to be challenged by either Hon Raila Odinga or one of the OKA principals.
The deputy president who at the moment is no more secrete that he broke ties with president Uhuru Kenyatta is set to vie the presidential seat using the UDA party. Currently as it stands the deputy president boosts of a huge benefit from the current party defections. 100% of leaders in UDA are leaders from across all the political parties in Kenya. Many of the leaders having have decamped from Jubilee party.
On the other side the ODM party has also benefited from the recent decamps. With majority of its defectors coming from the jubilee party. While it should be noted that the government will be dissolved in march next year allowing those in the cabinet to have their various campaigns.it is predicted that the Jubilee party might lose even more of its members. Its at that time that there might be mass defections. It is projected that UDA and ODM might be the parties that might benefit much from the defection. This will then mean that Jubilee will have turn to be the biggest loser.
