Hundreds of people turned out to meet and receive Martha Karua during her mt Kenya tour. Karua was nominated as Raila running mate on Monday.She has since traversed her home County of Kirinyaga as she spreads the Azimio message.That was yesterday where a sea of humanity turned out in various parts of Kutus, Mwea, Kerugoya and Gichugu came out.
Today she is in a tour of Meru county which is home to Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Peter Munya.Munya was among those fronted as potential running mates for Raila Odinga but fell short of the selection committee.He is widely viewed as the region's kingpin and spokesperson and will play a bigger role in advocating for the community's interests in the Azimio government.
Martha Karua was accompanied by Kieni lawmaker Kanini Kega and Margaret Kobia among other Meru Azimio allied politicians.
Meru is one of those counties in Central which Azimio is looking at consolidating maximum support as compared to the others. The journey continues.
