Wiper Party Now Complains Over Raila's Unclear 2027 Plans

The former Prime Minister of Kenya and the leader of the Azimio La Umoja coalition Raila Odinga, has now received fresh demands from the Wiper Democratic Party. Apparently, Odinga might probably try to seek reelection as president in the next 2027 election and this has turned out to be the bone of contention. Senator Enoch Wambua of Kitui told the media over the weekend that Mr. Odinga had to change his tune and support Kalonzo Musyoka for president in 2027.

He said that after receiving unwavering support from Kalonzo for a good number of years, which allowed Mr. Odinga to run for a top seat three times in a row, it was time for him and his strongholds of Nyanza and Western to unite fully behind Kalonzo as he prepares to give Ruto a tough battle in the 2027 elections.

He explained that it was due to the support that Kalonzo had given Mr. Odinga over a long period of time that made him hold various political offices. He continued by saying that the Coalition would be in disarray and might even quit it completely if Mr. Odinga went ahead and declared another run for the State House in the elections that would take place in 2027.

Since Raila has not disclosed whether or not he will challenge Ruto again in 2027, the statement warned that Wiper' s new irreducible minimums would be for Odinga to endorse their party leader, or they would stir dissatisfaction in Azimio. Raila, for his part, promised his followers that he would soon announce his political plans.

Also in this vein, Odinga stated that this did not indicate that he would not run again, causing some of the individual Wiper leaders to feel unsure. Do you agree with Wiper Party leaders who say Odinga should back Kalonzo in 2027, or do you think Odinga should seek public office himself once again? Feel free to share your thoughts and opinions to the article below.
