Raila Odinga And Professor George Wajackoyah Skip The 2022 Presidential Debate

Raila Odinga, the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance presidential candidate and the Roots party leader, professor George Wajackoyah failed to attend the presidential debate organized by media organizations in the country.

The debate was scheduled in two sessions starting at 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm. It took place at the Catholic University Of Eastern Africa.

The Roots Party leader however arrived at the venue but insisted that he would not attend the debate unless all the four presidential candidates shared the podium at the same time.

"I am not attending unless we are four. That's why I want to confirm. They never responded to my letter. If the media wants to corrupt the intelligence of this society,if the media wants to run corruption in this country, if the media can do what they have done, to hell with them."Professor George Wajackoyah said.

On the other hand the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance presidential candidate Raila Odinga has defended his move of not attending the debate.

Speaking during his Meru County campaigns, Raila Odinga said that sharing a podium with the deputy president will provide a platform for the deputy president to sanitize his past.

The return of Raila Odinga to Meru was to rally residents from the larger mount kenya region to support his presidential bid. He said that he is better placed to succeed president Uhuru Kenyatta come the 2022 August 9 elections.
