Francis Thuita Kimemia is one of the longest-serving civil servants in the history of Kenyan Government. He currently serves as the second Governor of Nyandarua County, a seat he holds from 2017. Before diving into politics, he served in several positions in the government including Secretary to the Cabinet, Head of Civil Service and Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of State for Provincial Administration and Internal Security
He was born and bred in Lari Constituency, Kiambu county by his parents Joseph Kimemia Migwi and Maria Nunga Kimemia. For his basic education, he attended Uplands Primary School before proceeding to Nyandarua High School and Kagumo High School for his 'O' and 'A' levels. He is an alumnus of the University of Nairobi where he pursued a Bachelors in Political Science. He also attended Moi University for a BA in Public Administration.[Photo courtesy]
He is a loving husband to Ann Wangui Thuita and a caring father to four children namely Sarah Mariah Nunga, Abraham Kimemia Thuita, Consolata Njeri Thuita and David Wanjohi Thuita.
