Businessman Jimmy Wanjigi's offices were raided by armed officers last night when he was still in the office together with his son and other staffers.
Wanjigi narrated that the officers said they were from CID and they needed him to record a statement. He said he suspects the raid was linked to his recent remarks in which he blasted Raila.
"All they were telling my lawyers is that they want me to go to CID to write a statement and that it is something which I should be there; but I wonderered what the statement is for," he said.
The presidential aspirant blamed Uhuru for his woes and further said it was unfortunate that Raila was nowhere to defend him yet he supported and protected him in 2017.
"Uhuru Kenyatta should come out and say it and to imagine that my friend Raila Odinga, who I was almost killed for, is sitting with him probably somewhere enjoying this spectacle is the saddest thing of all. One is only good when you're supporting them," the businessman added as quoted in a publication by tuko.co.ke.
