Uasin Ngishu Governor Jackson Mandago Declares He Will Vie For Senatorial Seat In 2022.
The Uasin Ngishu County Governor Jackson Mandago has declared interest for the Countys senatorial seat and he will he now battling for the seat alongside other candidates like the current senator Margaret Kamar.
The second term governor cannot go for the top county seat for another term as he has reached the maximum number of terms which is capped at two and he is now the second governor in the country after Siaya county Governor Cornell Rasanga who announced that he will go for the Alego Usonga Parliamentary seat.
While announcing his candidature, he stated that and I quote him "Hii ya senator muniachie mimi nipange, nimesikia wengine wakisema senate inahitaji mtu wakili, Senator Margaret Kamar ni wakili? Na Lusaka si alikua DC?."
These comments by him clearly hi that he will be goings go the senatorial seat of Uasin Ngishu county.
