Muranga Senator Hon Irungu Kangata has on Tuesday been hosted by Debearl Inea on K24 TV alongside Kieleweke's Richard Onyonka where they have been engaged in a heated debate of president Uhuru's succession politics.
Kangata has said that he does not regret leaving his allowances and privileges amounting to 500k monthly to join the deputy president as it was a conscious decision.
"I was enjoying very many privileges totalling 500k when I was in government as Chief whip but I made a conscious decision to move camp." Kangata
He has further alluded that over 60 per cent of MPs across the country support the DP and that will give him a headstart in the 2022 race
Kangata "I can tell you that a vast majority of MPs support William Ruto. A region has about 60 MPs and you will find that quite a substantial amount supports the DP the ones that remain are there for several reasons like fear."
Hon Onyonka On the other hand has alleged that 80 per cent of MPs allied to DP Ruto's UDA party serve their interests and will lose their seats as they won't be re-elected in 2022
"Most of the people who are moving to UDA think they will be re-elected the truth is that 80% of the people in office right now will not be re-elected." Hon Onyonka
