Deputy President William Ruto has been making several inroads to the Coastal region. His move to the region is to make sure, he gathers enough support from the region. The region is well known to be the Orange Democratic Movement party's stronghold. While in Mombasa county, Deputy President urged residents to believe and support the United Democratic Movement party because it will solve their problems such as lands.
Amid this, some allies from the region have dared to decamp the party after the alleged chaos which was witnessed yesterday after MP Tenge was attacked by a group of rowdy youths. Tenge was left with more injuries and he has called upon Inspector General Mutyambayi to intervene and arrest all who were involved.
Meanwhile, the allies from the region have requested the party's leaders to iron issues and such incidences should not be witnessed in the future. The big question is will UDA's allies from the region remain intact up to next year?
