On Monday, the DP culminated his Kisii trip at a secondary school where he was championing a funds drive to construct additional classrooms. Osoro used the opportunity to drum up support for the DP and declare to his constituents that they shall miss out on bursaries if they do not register as voters.
"In one month, we will be announcing bursaries. Applications will be done using your voter's card and not your national identification card," he said.
The MP added that it shall be compulsory to attach your voter's card on the bursary application so that it can be considered and approved. Without which, Osoro warned that needy students will not get access to the Constituency Development Fund, CDF to further their education.
If the beneficiary of the bursary is a minor, Osoro had a solution that the parent's voter's card will be used as an attachment.
"For the young ones, you are aware that you will need to attach your father's ID card. However, this time you will attach his voting card," he added.
Sylvanus Osoro subsequently asked the youth to come out in large numbers and register as voters lamenting that that was the only way Ruto will win the election.
"If you do not have a voters card, walk into a registration centre with your ID and get a voters card. However much we love William Ruto, if we don't have voting cards, we have not helped him," Osoro said.
