"While agreeing fully with your defence of freedom of speech and thought as guranteed by constitution, we respectfully disagree with your very wrong understanding of hustlers but will equally defend your thoughts. We will work tirelessly to get Hustlers narrative positively understood" Ruto's tweet read.
Right Honorable Raila Odinga had written his opinion about the intentions by Parliament Security committee to table a bill that will criminalize Ruto's Hustler vs Dynasty campaign slogan and proposed severe fines, jail time and even removal from office for any leader who promotes it.
Hon Odinga likened Hustler vs Dynasty narrative to the Germany Nazi. Raila states that Nazism profiled German society in terms of race, social class and tribe.
Raila claims that by criminalizing the terms then free speech and Freedom of association will be curtailed. He says that DP Ruto should be allowed to use the slogan as him and other leaders educate their people from falling for it.
