Just months after Ainabkoi MP William Chepkut declared that he will be rooting for Baringo Senator Gideon Moi's presidency, another MP from the region has come out to publicly declare his charm offensive love for Gideon in 2022.
While asking the Kalenjin community to avoid being thrown into opposition come 2022, Mishra, who has been an anti-Ruto MP, praised Gideon Moi, saying he will soon invite him to his Kesses constituency for a developmental visit.
He insisted on the need to unite Kenyans, saying nobody should be discriminated against in 2022 and that all aspirants should be given opportunities to express themselves.
"Let us focus as Kalenjin to get our son of the soil, either X or Y, to be in power. My friend Gideon Moi is coming to come to Kesses to talk about empowerment of our people...he is our Kalenjin and a Kenyan, don't differentiate between people and others, we don't know who will be the president of this country, only God or people of Kenya. Let us not abuse against anybody," stated Mishra in his constituency.
At the same time, Mishra threw his weight behind the new constitution amendment bill of 2021 BBI, saying it is going to bring a lot of good things to Kenyans including increased representation, fight against corruption as well as more funding to counties.
"Should you think I should support BBI or not? with BBI, we will get more representation, funding, progress in Education and Agriculture as well as good governance," he said.
Mishra becomes the third MP from Uasin Gishu county to throw his weight behind Gideon Moi, after Ainabkoi's William Chepkut and Moiben's Silas Tiren.
