Kenyans have been pleading with the government to lower the prices of food commodities. This after the skyrocketing prices have seen the cost of living becoming almost unbearable to the majority of Kenyans across all parts of the country.
When the presidential candidates are campaigning, they have always promised to lower the prices of commodities if chosen to power. With each candidate blaming the current government for the hiked prices.

However, Kenyans can now smile though narrowly after the agriculture minister lowered the price of maize floor. In a report by NTV on Facebook, the minister, Peter Munya has said that some levies imposed on imported maize have been lifted.
This is a move which will see the cost of one packet of maize flour reduce by Ksh. 2. Although very little, it is something and the government is urged to do more in reduction of the food prices.
