"Ever since I started working here, I have never hosted an interview like this!" These were the words of the Citizen television news anchor Jeff Koinange after the Wednesday JKlive show. The latter had hosted the Kericho senator Aaron Cheruyiot and his counterpart from Homabay Hon Moses Kajwang to speak on the state of the nation.
Despite most of the things they spoke about, what stood out was the discussion on the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI). Senator Cheruyiot, as one allied to the deputy president Dr William Ruto obviously was against the document saying it was not a priority for the country as at now.
Hon Kajwang on the other hand gently disagreed with his counterpart on the agency of BBI. According to him, it is evident that the country is ailing and it needs a prescription. However the difference between the handshake team and Ruto's faction is the choice of prescription to issue to the country.
He also challenged the Tangatanga brigade to challenge the constitutional amendments by giving an alternative solution, not just making noise.
"Those who are anti-BBI must give counter proposals otherwise opposing for the sake of it just as Cheruyiot and his team are doing is political hogwash. Leadership is about offering solutions." the fluent senator stated.
One thing however captured the attention of Jeff as well as other kenyans. According to the moderator, he had hosted a lot of politicians in that show but had never seen one that promises a future for the country. He said the two youthful legislators were oozing wisdom in a calm and organised way such that he did not have to use his fire extinguisher.
In other shows, politicians have always been seen exchanging harsh words on live telecasts while debating on non substantiated stories and propagandas, not facts as the two senators expressed on Wednesday night.

02-04 10:40:53Mmmmm...it was ok though i didn't have time to watch the stuff because of immense political hypocrisy currently in place. Maybe next time when the devil voluntarily go for a short or long long call, or terminal leave to give me peace to watch...
