Just In:Court Finally Makes A Decision About Cleophas Malala's Gubernatorial Quest

Political players are busy travelling the nation as the country enters the electioneering phase to promote their platforms and popularize their goals in advance of the much anticipated general election in August.

According to a decision made by the Kakamega High Court today, Senator Cleophas Malala will be included in the Gazette as one of the candidates for the Kakamega governorship.

He will be one of six candidates seeking to succeed outgoing district commissioner Wycliffe Oparanya if the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) is permitted by the courts to register his name.

Additionally, Judge Patrick Otieno denied a plea from an opposition party asking for the dismissal of a case challenging the legitimacy of Malala's educational records.

A choice would be made, according to Justice Otieno, to satisfy the election deadlines.

After rejecting an election plan, he demanded that the court deny the request of the two Kakamega voters. As Azimio's candidate is not a pushover, the Kakamega race is fiercely contested.
