While speaking at Khabondi village outskirts of Mumias East sub-county, the Kenya Electricity Transmission Company United managing director who is also the former chairman of the certified public accountant of Kenya (ICPAK) FCPA Fernandez Barasa requested the youths in the country to ensure they get their national identification cards as an early preparation towards the county government.
“Days are gone when we people of Kakamega east shall be recognized and be handed bursaries as other areas do. Taking an example of Mumias and Matungu districts there are a few tertiary learning institutions unlike Butere, Lugari, Lurambi and Khwisero where vocational training institutions have been located in huge numbers”
“It's my request to you people of Mumias east to appoint me as your next governor so that many of the murram roads that are being said to cause frequent accidents get to be amended. My office will help young boys and girls that have attained the age of eighteen years and above to get their national identification cards as one way of preparing early win ”, Fernandez Barasa explained.
His sentiments were aligned by a few leaders led by former Marama central member of the county assembly who had accompanied him in the ceremony of celebrating the late Lucas Akwata at Khabondi village who advised natives of Kakamega to appoint the CEO as their governor
