Politicians Relieved As High Court Nullifies The Minimum Requirements For MCA and MP

The high court today nullified the directive by the national parliament requiring the Member of County Assembly (MCA) and the Members of the National Assembly (MP) to have at least a bachelors degree as a requirement to qualify to be elected for the respective positions.

This according to the high court meant that a lot of prospective leaders with good qualities for ruling but without the bachelors degree will be automatically be locked out.

The directive was unconstitutional since the members of the public were not involved during the decision making stage and thus cannot be implemented come next year general 2022. The members of the public are instrumental in any key decision making processes.

As much as the candidate qualifies the constitutional requirements, he/she is free to vie for any of the two lucrative positions in any of the two houses, County Assembly and National houses . The members are now happy as their faded dreams are now getting closer and brighter as time goes by.
