
President Dr William Samoei Arap Ruto last week toured the Nyanza Region. This was his second tour to the region after he narrowly and controversialy defeated the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Movement presidential flag bearer Hon Raila Amolo Odinga during the recently concluded hotly contested 2022 general elections. Hon Raila rallied the Nyanza Region leaders to put aside their political differences and welcome the president warmly in his turf.
President Ruto's United Democratic Alliance party Secretary General Veronica Maina revealed the following about Hon Raila after president William Samoei Arap Ruto's tour in Nyanza Region. According to K24 TV Kenya, Hon Veronica Maina said that it was a good show of statesmanship for Hon Raila to encourage the leaders in Nyanza Region to turn up and welcome the president.
