Former Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu may have just enough votes to return to power. This is after polls showed that he had already achieved sixty one out of the one hundred and seats Knessets.
The early exit polls may differ from the final results of the election which is expected later in the week. This is Israeli's fifth election in less than four years. The campaigned was shaken by the right -wing firebrand Itamar Ben-Gvir and his ultra-nationalist religious Zionism bloc which is poised to be the third largest party with fifteen parliamentary seats.
Netanyahu has been supported by Ben-Gvir and fellow Bezalol Smotrich. Netanyahu will be the first Israeli leader to have served for three nonconcurrent terms. He has served for over fifteen years. First from 1996-1999,then from 2009-2021.Israel has been on a political gridlock for sometimes now. Polls by al major Israeli Tv stations indicate that Netanyahu and his allies would capture majority of the seats.
