The front runners, Deputy President William Ruto and Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga have already hit the ground across the country doing their campaigns.

One candidate that many people are unaware of is Reuben Kigame who is a former teacher as well as gospel artist.

Reuben Kigame even complained to the media about giving too much attention to the two candidates while ignoring the rest who are offering a different perspective of things for Kenyans.

Reuben Kigame went blind when he was a little boy and narrates that he tried reaching for a plate of ugali and missed it and surprised his family at the dinner table.

Reuben Kigame joined Kibos School for the Blind and later Thika School for the Blind. He later went on to study at Kenyatta University after high school, where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in History, Philosophy and Religious studies.

After getting his degree, he joined the prestigious Moi University for a Master’s degree in Journalism and Media studies and also trained in Christian Apologetics at the Southern Evangelical Seminary in Charlotte, North Carolina, United States of America.

The Presidential Candidate taught for a while at Madira Secondary School and later the prestigious Mary Hill Girls High School before hanging his teaching boots.

Yesterday, while Chelsea was playing Southampton, the Presidential Candidate was the subject of ridicule when he posted a photo of himself and his two boys watching the game.

Many Kenyans were wondering how he could be watching the game and he was indeed bling but Reuben cleared the air and said that the commentary tracks help a lot.

He has said that going into politics is because he wants to offer Kenyans a different outlook as they head to the polls in August 2022.
