Gender CS Aisha Jumwa meets Raila in Mombasa for the first time since her appointment to cabinet

Gender and public service cabinet secretary Aisha Jumwa has met his former party leader Raila Odinga for the first time since her appointment in president William Ruto cabinet.

Cabinet Secretary Aisha Jumwa met the ODM party leader Raila Odinga at Mombasa county in the sidelines on the ongoing Mombasa International Show.

Other leaders present in the event included; Mombasa governor Abdululswamad Shariff Nassir and Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna.

" Welcome to Mombasa Baba. I joined fellow leaders in receiving my party leader Raila Odinga upon arrival today evening for a working visit to Mombasa" posted Mombasa governor Abdululswamad Shariff Nassir on his official Facebook page.

The show was opened yesterday by deputy president Rigathi Gachagua in company of Mombasa governor Abdululswamad Shariff Nassir and cabinet secretaries Mithika Linturi and Salim Mvurya.

Aisha Jumwa was first elected as Kilifi women representative on a ODM party ticket in 2013 before vying successfully for Malindi parliamentary seat on the same party ticket.

Jumwa differed with his then party leader Raila Odinga and defected to UDA party where he unsuccessfully vied for Kilifi gubernatorial seat in 2022. She was floored by then ODM party candidate Gideon Mungaro.
