Kabogo said he had informed Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua in the past to prepare himself since he was going to become Ruto’s running mate.
Speaking in Nyeri during the funeral service of Gachagua’s brother, Kabogo told DP Ruto that he is not a witchdoctor or a prophet after he predicted the position Gachagua would take.
The former governor said he told the legislature to start looking for votes so that he could bring something to the table when it comes time for the DP to choose his running mate.
Kabogo went on to say that Gachagua immediately started looking for votes and supporters in Mt Kenya.
“Mimi nataka Ruto asikie, mimi si mchawi wala mnabi. (I want Ruto to hear this, I am not a witchdoctor or a prophet.) Am the one who told Gachagua to prepare himself early and start looking for supporters because he is soon going to be surprised,” said Kabogo.
“And I know you caught on quickly and you started looking for supporters immediately,” added Kabogo.
