The Deputy President of Kenya, Chief of hustlers nation narrative and United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party leader Dr. William Somoei Ruto has hit out at a group of billionaires who funded Jubilee coalition 2017 campaigns.
While in Nakuru Deputy President stated that the tycoons who have orchestrated a plot against his 2022 presidential bid will not give him a sleepless night. The tycoons came together and raised Ksh1 billion in a two - hour event that was held at a city hotel.
The Dp also talked down on Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) which was the brainchild of the two leaders stating that it was meant to give the president more powers.
Speaking in Nakuru, Ruto called on the residents to rally support behind him. He also poured called water on President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga claiming that they have not accomplished much.
He further stated that his mission was to unite people who are disadvantaged in the society or hustlers as he refer to them. He urged Nakuru residents to elect leaders who understand bottom - up economic model.
His statements comes just days after ODM leader Raila Odinga met billionaires and political bigwigs from Mount Kenya region ahead of 2022 general election.
