Lawyer Otiende Amollo has poured cold water on the calls by NASA Principals to get support from Raila Odinga.
Amollo who was appearing on Citizen’s Breakfast show on Thursday February 18 clarified that, legally and if there was any pact among the NASA bigwigs, then it was about winning an election which they didn’t.
He subsequently noted that the political formations are always made with one aim in mind, which is to win and not to lose. But now that they lost, no one can turn around and claim support from Mr. Odinga who also lost together with them. MP Otiende therefore argued that it was unfair what the Musalia-led-group was pressuring Raila to give back because, in the first place, he(Odinga) doesn’t have whatever they are asking for. Not even a fake baton to give the next racer.
“It was a pact about if Raila gets the presidency. But this did not happen and therefore it remains a postponed pledge which they must keep pushing together until Odinga wins, then after which he can hand over to one of them,” the Rarieda MP dropped the bombshell.
He also advised the four men to instead focus on putting their local politics in order before thinking of scrambling for the national table.
Others on the morning show were Senator Kimani Wamatang’i, Soy MP Caleb Kositany and and Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua.
