Deputy President William Samoei Ruto accompanied with his close allies kicked off his 3-day visit to Nyanza region earlier today morning.
However, during one of his stopovers at Bonchari, Kisii County, rowdy youths perceived to be former prime minister, His Excellency Raila Odinga's supporters tried to interrupt his speech after joining with Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) related chants in the middle of his speech.
The second in power was then forced to fearlessly react over the indecent act expressed by the rowdy youths.
Speaking to the noisy crowd, the second in command pledged with them to consider respecting their leaders rather that being unruly.
With a resilient voice, the deputy president told the youths to stop being used to fight their own people as well as colleagues.
He added that what is important for them is to bestow their productive energy in the working market and engage themselves in income generating activities like businesses.
'Let me tell you youths, stop being used to fight your own people and colleagues. What you deserve is a job and business. You don't deserve to be hooligans,' DP Ruto stressed.
Afterwards, the youths who had at this moment seemed to have understood his (Ruto) point calmed down and the speeches proceeded.
