Opinion Poll conducted by Mizani Africa shows that United Democratic Alliance (UDA), Cecile Mbarire is the most preferred gubernatorial candidate in Embu County with 53.4% lead. MBUS party chairman, Lenny Kivuti falls second after Mbarire with a 38%. On the third position of the governor race for Embu County is Emilio Kathuri with a 5.4%.


Hon. Emilio Kathuri ditched the Devolution Empowerment Party to vie for the Embu governor seat on a Jubilee ticket. He urgued that he left Devolution Empowerment Party (DEP) after he realised it was heading to its dead end.

With the sitting governor for Embu County, Hon. Martin Wambora, a fierce political battle is looming between and Wambora his deputy, David Kariuki, with the duo now eyeing the county’s Senator seat in the month of August 9th general elections.
