According to news hitting the airwaves police in Nairobi have reported the mysterious death of a top Tharaka Nithi businessman. Mr. Francis Kiambi Kiriro was found dead in Karen after his Wife Mary Waigwe Muthoni reported he died after being denied 2 billion loans.
According to the police, his body was found lifeless after his wife reported that they went back to the house late at midnight from a restaurant. The couple allegedly got into domestic fights after the woman declined to guarantee Ksh.2 billion shillings.
"It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Mr. Francis Kiambi Kiriiro Matanka which occurred this morning January 9, 2023. We ask that you keep the family in your prayers," read a statement by Mr. Muriithi.
Mr. Francis unsuccessfully vied for Senator in Tharaka-Nithi 2017 general elections after losing to Interior Cabinet Minister Kithure Kindiki. He was also in the run-up for Nkarini area member of Parliament during the 2007 election but lost to Mburi Muiru.
